History of Miss India Worldwide

The festival started in 1990. Simi Chaddha (now Dr. Simi Chaddha Ranajee) from the US became topped the first ever Miss India Worldwide in New York City. Simi was the winner of Miss India USA festival of the yr 1990. The pageant was held inside the United States until 1996. In 1997, the competition was hosted in India. Poonam Chibber of Canada became the primary Miss India Worldwide winner to get topped outdoor the USA. It became the first time that the festival moved out its domestic turf and held in the Asian continent. The very next year in 1998 the competition moved to the South east place of Asia and become held in Singapore. Once again, Canada's consultant Melissa Bhagat become crowned the Miss India Worldwide 1998 by means of outgoing titleholder Poonam Chibber of Canada as well, giving Canada an extraordinary returned to lower back victory on the competition. Canada is one of the 3 nations to have a back to returned victory. Other  being USA and UK.

The competition moved again to america in 2000 and changed into held in Florida. Rita Upadhyay of america became topped Miss India Worldwide 2000 and became the fourth woman from the United States to win the crown.
