Cold cream is an emulsion of water and positive fat, typically consisting of beeswax and various scent dealers, designed to easy skin and dispose of make-up. Cold cream is an emulsion of water in a larger amount of oil, not like the oil in water emulsion of vanishing cream, so-referred to as because it appears to disappear while applied on skin. The name "cold cream" derives from the cooling feeling that the cream leaves on the pores and skin. Variations of the product were used for almost 2000 years.

Cold cream is mainly used for pores and skin treatment (which includes a facial mask or lip balm), due to its moisturizing homes. It also can be used to do away with makeup and as shaving cream.
