Several varieties of non-pierced jewelry exist.
- Clip-on jewelry – Clip-on jewelry have existed longer than every other style of non-pierced rings. The clip itself is a two-component piece attached to the back of an earring. The portions closed around the earlobe, using mechanical stress to hold the earring in area.
- Magnetic earrings – Magnetic earrings simulate the appearance of a (pierced) stud earring through attaching to the earlobe with a magnetic returned that keep the earring in place on via magnetic force.
- Stick-on earrings – Stick-on rings are adhesive-sponsored items which keep on with the skin of the earlobe and simulate the look of a (pierced) stud earring. They are considered a novelty item.
- Spring hoop earrings – Spring hoops are nearly indistinguishable from general hoop rings and stay in vicinity via spring pressure.
An opportunity that is often used is bending a cord or even just the usage of the hoop part of a CBR to put on the earlobe, which stays on by pinching the ear
- Ear hook jewelry – A big hook just like the fish hook that is large sufficient to hook and dangle over the entire ear and dangles.
- The hoop – A hoop threads over the ear and hangs from just within the ear, above in which ears are pierced. Mobiles or different dangles may be hung from the hoop to create a diffusion of styles.
- Ear screws – Screwed onto the lobe, allow for specific adjustment—an alternative for people who discover clips too painful.
- Ear cuffs – Wrap around the outer cartilage (similar to a conch piercing) and may be chained to a lobe piercing.
