Minaudière

A minaudière is a women's fashion accent, normally considered a jewelry piece, supposed to replacement for a night bag. A case with booths, it allows storage for several items in a small space, such as a makeup compact, lipstick, watch, reading glasses, or keys.
The minaudière seemed at some point of the 1930s. Its invention is attributed to Charles Arpels, of Van Cleef & Arpels, however many jewelers and haute couture designers have created their own fashions.
