Skin care is on the interface of cosmetics, and dermatology.
The US Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act defines cosmetics as merchandise supposed to cleanse or beautify (for instance, shampoos and lipstick). A separate class exists for medications, which might be intended to diagnose, remedy, mitigate, deal with, or save you ailment, or to have an effect on the shape or characteristic of the body (for example, sunscreens and zits creams), although a few merchandise, inclusive of moisturizing sunscreens and anti-dandruff shampoos, are regulated within both categories.
Skin care differs from dermatology by using its inclusion of non-health practitioner professionals, which includes estheticians and wound care nursing group of workers. Skin care consists of changes of individual conduct and of environmental and running situations.
