In the past due 1980s and early 1990s, "slap bracelets"—flat, felt-included metal strips that curved round one's wrist whilst gently hit in opposition to it—were a popular fad. Often decorated with neon colorings and vivid portraits, those bracelets can be discovered at inexpensive retailers. A fake rumor emerged that "slap bracelets" brought on bleeding and puncture wounds and as a consequence they fell out of style.
