Like lipstick, lip gloss is a combination of waxes, oils, and pigments. However, lip gloss incorporates fewer pigments, and people used are regularly light in coloration or diluted (<3%). Furthermore, the unfastened-flowing nature of the product calls for less wax. The most important components are lanolin, which feels excellent on the lips due to its moisturizing features and imparts gloss, and polybutene.
