Fat shaming by organizers of Miss Grand International

In 2016, Miss Grand International drew grievance after fat shaming Miss Iceland, Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir that "she's too fat and had to shed pounds" prior to the finals of Miss Grand International 2016 held in Las Vegas on October 25, 2016. Jónsdóttir a former member of the Icelandic countrywide athletics group became given a gap within the pinnacle 10 of the competition, however she declined.
