Anklet in Europe

Bronze anklets are seen as early as the Bronze Age in temperate Europe, in an area more or less along the Danube, within the Alpine foreland, up the Rhine to the Atlantic, and additionally down the Rhône (Sherratt, 2001). These had been found amongst hoards in those regions, in conjunction with other bronze gadgets function of this time (c. 1800 BCE onwards), and are as a result of the Tumulus way of life that unfold across this region.
