  • Watsu is a shape of aquatic bodywork used for deep rest and passive aquatic therapy. Watsu is characterized with the aid of one-on-one periods wherein a practitioner or therapist lightly cradles, moves, stretches, and massages a receiver in chest-deep heat water.
  • Watsu, in the beginning evolved via Harold Dull at Harbin Hot Springs, California inside the early 1980s, combines elements of muscle stretching, joint mobilization, rub down, Shiatsu, and dance, finished in chest-deep warm water (around 35°C = 95°F). The receiver is constantly supported via a practitioner or therapist while being backfloated, rhythmically cradled, moved, stretched, and massaged.
