A polar bear plunge is an event held at some stage in the iciness where members input a body of water in spite of the low temperature. In the US, polar bear plunges are typically held to raise money for a charitable business enterprise. In Canada, polar bear swims are typically hung on New Year's Day to rejoice the new year.
