• Designated as an American National Standard, the Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code (USPSHTC) is a version code advanced by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) to manipulate the set up and inspection of plumbing systems associated with swimming swimming pools, spas and warm tubs as a way of selling the general public's fitness, protection and welfare.

• The USPSHTC is developed using the American National Standards Institute's consensus development approaches. This system brings together volunteers representing a variety of viewpoints and pursuits to reap consensus on plumbing practices.
